The Detroit Electric Scheme: a Reading & Lecture by D.E. Johnson
Thursday, September 16, 7:00-8:30 pm
This page-turning novel of murder captures the intrigues of 1910 Detroit’s electric automobile industry and is filled with strong historical detail and dozens of real-life characters. The Dodge brothers and Edsel Ford come to life, interacting with Detroit’s sordid dark side including Vito Adamo, Detroit’s first Mob boss and Big Boy, the bouncer at a saloon so notorious the newspapers called it “The Bucket of Blood.” This is D.E. Johnson’s first novel. He is currently working on a sequel. A reception and book signing will follow. Books will be available to purchase. No registration is required for this free event.
