Salvation Army Angel Tree 2010
Once again the Portage District Library will be collecting toys and gifts for The Salvation Army on behalf of children in need this Christmas season. With gas and utility costs higher than ever and jobs more scarce, Salvation Army anticipates more families will need help this year. Their goal is to collect gifts for over 4,000 children throughout Kalamazoo County.
You can help by selecting Angel Tree tags from the tree at the Checkout Desk of Portage District Library starting November 12, 2010. The tag will indicate the gender and age of a child (infants through age 16) for whom you would like to purchase a gift. Unwrapped gifts, with the Angel Tree tag securely attached, can be returned to Portage District Library or any other Angel Tree donation site no later than December 20, 2010. For inclusion in this program, gifts can only be accepted at the Portage District Library until 9 p.m. on December 20. Sorry, no exceptions can be made.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to help needy children in Kalamazoo County have a gift to look forward to this Christmas.
