NEW BOOKS…YEAH!

Posted February 16, 2011 in  History and Genealogy

Some new books have arrived in the Heritage Room (around 40). When I say new, I mean new to the Heritage Room. The books themselves are all vintage with the newest dating from 2005 and the oldest from 1856. They are all great but some of my favorites are:

The Early History of Michigan, from the First Settlement to 1815 by: E. M. Sheldon (1856)

The British Regime in Michigan and the Old Northwest 1760-1796 by: Nelson Vance Russell (1939)

Red Arrow Men; Stories About the 32nd Division on the Villa Verde by: John M. Carlisle (1945)

Paw Paw Centennial 1859-1959; “Footpaths to Freeways” (1959)

Michigan Depression Script of the 1930’s (1963)

Michigan’s Own; the Medal of Honor; Civil War to Vietnam War by: Stanley Bozich (1987)

The Fort Sumter crises occurring in Charleston Harbor worsens as word surfaces of the Provisional Confederate Congress’s vote to take both Fort Sumter and Fort Pickens (located in Florida) by force if necessary.
