E-readers at PDL
E-readers have been in the news alot lately. The Kindle, the recently release Nook, and the iPad all offer different ways to read lots of books in one compact package.
In order to investigate this newly popular medium, PDL has two Amazon Kindle 2’s that we circulate to patrons. Each includes access to over 50 popular fiction and non-fiction titles, bestsellers during the last year. You can use a Kindle to bring a lot of reading along on short trips, make long waits entertaining, and browse a large number of current, popular titles on one handy device.
Each Kindle circulates for two weeks. They may not be renewed, but you may place holds on the Kindles. Our ebook readers circulate from behind the adult information desk on the upper level. They must also be returned there. Ask at the adult information desk for details, or call (269) 329-4542 and choose option one for the adult information desk.
